I was hoping you had a good weekend. L...Oh sweetie. I was hoping you had a good weekend. Listen, don't dwell on these things. Take criticism and try to turn it into a positive for yourself. Whatever action sparked the untold "selfishness" may never happen again or next time it does, you will be aware of how things come across to someone else.
The great thing about people, is we have so many personalities. Sometimes, that is the PITA thing about people too. We get so wrapped up in the moment, or an activity or an emotion that we can't ALWAYS see it from everyone's point of view. Especially if there are multiple someones. In that sense, we are a little selfish. I know I am. I get wrapped up in my disgust of my own uterus that its hard to pull back sometimes and listen to someone's complaints over their life.
After all, if we weren't a little selfish and narcisstic would we write blogs? LOL
If you have apologized and been honest with that person over your actions and/regrets or non-regrets, thats the best you can do. I always believe when you are discussing wrong doings (whether real or implied) and/or defending ones actions against another's perception of them, you should include a fair amount of praise and criticism in the dialogue. Just because you don't agree with someone doesn't mean you have to be mean but sometimes you can be as nice as Pecan Pie (and I totally say that extremely southern like-as in Scarlett O'hara southern) but someone TAKES it wrong.
Take a deep breath, relax, do what you think is right and admirable and LET IT GO. Breathe. Hopefully you will have an extremely productive week and be able to see the silver lining in all things this week. And I'm going to go now, because I think my comment is now longer than your blog post!!Kristahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00055959776754448762noreply@blogger.com
