After 7 years of dating, J and I were married in July of 2008. Throughout our dating years we'd always talked about children (we'd both agreed that we'd want two). We talked more frequently as our wedding day grew closer, especially as our family and friends inquired more and more. Our default answer was that we'd probably wait a year or so and then just see how it went. That plan lasted all of a month. In August of that year, we had a heart-to-heart. Why were we waiting? Were we not ready? Our finances certainly weren't going to be hugely different after another handful of months. Thankfully we were both on the same page and in September we ditched the pill.
Looking back on those first few months, I knew that something was not right. For some reason I just 'knew' that it wasn't going to be easy. Don't get me wrong, I was hopeful. I would get excited every month. I was window-shopping online for furniture, creating budgets, we were joking about names. And each month we were crushed. Three years time has dulled that pain a bit, the blows are more of an ache now than a devastating blow. Obviously that scab was ripped open when we lost Sprout this summer, but time heals all wounds, right? We'll see about that...

May 8, 2009 - Begin Charting
October 26, 2009 - Diagnosed with PCOS
November 1, 2009 - First Clomid Cycle
November 27, 2009 - First Date with 'The Dildo Cam' (no abnormal results)
December 8, 2009 - First Positive OPK
January 28, 2010 - Follow-up with the Doc. Increased Clomid dosage to 100mg
February 23, 2010 - Increased Clomid dosage to 150mg
March 4, 2010 - Ultrasound to check for follicle development and indications of ovulation = no development AT ALL. Determined to be 'Clomid Resistent', switching meds (Letrozole Femara).
April 5, 2010 - midcycle check indicated minor development
April 27, 2010 - midcycle check showed good thick lining and fluid as if I'd already ovulated (early)
April 29, 2010 - another ultrasound, doc almost certain I ovulated!
May 24, 2010 - discovered 18mm follicle on CD13 - got the hsg trigger shot.
May 25, 2010 - positive OPK (BFN this cycle)
June 25, 2010 - no response to this round of Femara
July 12, 2010 - CD12 - 2 BFF (Big Fat Follies)
July 13, 2010 - hsg trigger
July 14, 2010 - Positive OPK
July 29, 2010 - BFN/AF
August 11, 2010 - Canceled cycle, no folly development
August 12, 2010 - The -much needed - Break begins (see you in 2011)
