As Much Privacy as an Airport Bathroom

I promised myself I would be uber diligent about my OPKs this month. And,  as anyone who's had the pleasure of peeing on one would understand, when the urge hits you have to take advantage.

Even if that is in the third stall down in the dirty San Diego airport bathroom.

Even if the room is filled with other women speaking at least three different languages.

Even if you're a shy pee'er and it's all you can do to go at all.

Life of an Infertile Fact #94 - peeing on whatever you have you, whenever you have to do it.

O-Day

Similar to D-Day, but... not.

I have never before had more of the 'classic' ovulation symptoms. Yesterday I was a royal CM mess and could feel very minor discomfort/twinges in my lady-bits region. This morning, almost exactly 36 hours later (which I didn't notice until it happened)I am having some mild cramping. Not the sucky/throbbing AF kind, but a bit sharper and more localized (if that makes any sense at all!).

Is this what it is like to be a function female member of our species!?

I'll take it!

Here we begin another round of the longest two weeks of my life. Thank god I have plenty to keep me busy or it wouldn't matter if I ovulated because I would have spontaneous combusted from the waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting.

Oh, and sometime remind me of the HILARIOUS story of where I sent R a picture of my VERY clearly positive OPK and she nearly shit herself. SO. FUNNY.

Happy Friday-Eve! I'll 'see' you later for my next instalment of Thankful Thursday. Love ya!

A 'positive' step.

Last night was my first ever, no doubt about it, positive OPK. 15 seconds after the little test was dipped into my pink cup of urine, two lines started to form. The test line already forming darker than the control.

When I took the test I was really tired. I had a busy day, been to the gym, walked the dog, etc. I was beat. J and I joked before I took the test that today would be the day I'd get a positive because the last thing I felt like doing was rolling around in the sheets. Sure enough! Boy did I perk up in a hurry. "We get to do it!!?" Was J's reaction. lol

Monday was my first day in a long time, probably almost a year, where I had serious EWCM. Gobs of it! (Lovely, I know.)

Needless to say it was a couple of very exciting evenings for me. Granted there is never any guarantees, but I feel like we are finally making progress. Two positive steps, two days in a row.

FF giveth, FF taketh away.

With today's temp FF took away my tentative crosshairs. I think they finally came to their senses and are saying 'WTF!' right along with me. Crazy damn chart. I get motion sickness just trying to analyze the damn thing!

I did however have two pink lines on the OPK again (still negative though). Perhaps we'll get a better result this evening?

Kinda two pink lines.

Tonight was the first time ever I've gotten two pink lines on an OPK! It was still technically negative (the test line was not as dark or darker than the control), but it was a solid pink line none the less and that is a first!

Late this afternoon and this evening I've definitely been feeling tightness (not really cramping) too. I'm hoping that tomorrow's OPK is a positive one! Boy would that be a relief!!

Fingers crossed please!!

OPK's have arrived

Tonight we begin our first month with OPKs. I am feeling a little conflicted. Part of me is so excited to get more insight into my crazy post birth control self. To make sense of the crappy charting (by the way, did you see how quickly mine went to hell this month!? It started out so nice..) and to see if I'm actually O'ing. Of course excited that if it works, this could be our final month of 'trying'.

The other part of me, the same part that is tired of getting its hopes up, is worried that I will have the same frustrations I've had with charting so far - no answers. Or worse, that the answer will be what I really don't want to hear, but am kind of expecting, that I'm not ovulating at all.

Only time will tell! I've got to stop over thinking it and just tackle whatever comes our way. Although, if you have a minute and are the wishing/hoping/praying type, a kind word sent our way certainly couldn't hurt. Thank you in advance.
