For those that are new to these parts - Welcome! A synopsis of our TTC journey, see the Dates to Remember on the left. Basically we've been TTC since September 2008. I have PCOS and a recent pink slip from my doc. We were told that we'll need to see an RE, which we've been avoiding because it isn't covered by insurance. Instead, we've decided to take a break. Active TTC will resume in a few months. In the mean time I'm going to focus my efforts on my other struggle - weight loss. UGH!
Feel free to kick off your shoes and stay awhile. I've 'met' so many wonderful women blogging. Some in the same boat as me, and others with a slightly different story, but all of us connected through IF. Please comment and I'll try and drop by your place too. Happy ICLW!
I am in the exact same boat as you! We are on a break as well. Weight loss is my struggle at the moment as I, too have PCOS. I am new to the blogging world, but so not new to infertility. It is sad to see so many with the same problems as me, but so nice to have support : ).
ReplyDeleteHappy ICLW =) We just got done with our 3 month break that we decided to take after our miscarriage in april. Even though it was tough to wait, I'm so glad I did so I could get my body and mind back on track. Hope your break is productive and fast!
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful blog. Praying for you and your hubby!
ReplyDeleteHappy IComLeavWe!

I hope you find some new people!! I know I need to lose weight as well - I've become a slacker but it's getting to me quickly. Like people say "if I cannot be pregnant, might as well be thin" :) Best wishes!
ReplyDeleteTaking a break, while sucks, sometimes is just the key! I say... We tried some alternative things that ended up working. That was after about 2 years at the RE. So anything is possible. :)

Happy ICLW! I hope your break is beneficial and helpful. Best of luck to you!
ReplyDeleteHappy ICLW! Good luck with your weight loss! Hopefully that will pave the way to a BFP once you see the RE!
ReplyDeleteHappy ICLW! I hope your break gets you just where you need to be for your next steps!
ReplyDeleteHappy ICLW! I hate insurance. Ours covered the RE, but pretty much nothing after our diagnosis!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with everything!

If you have PCOS and weight issues, has your doctor considered trying Metformin for you? Many women had had success both with weight loss and improvement with ovulation on that med. Just a suggestion.

My doctor and I did chat about metformin, but he wanted to go forward trying these other things first.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely going to talk about this more when we get back to the doc. Thanks!
